Someone Shot at a DoorDash Driver Looking for Directions
The shooter, a 48-year-old man named John Reilly, is currently charged with first-degree assault.
One accusation that foreigners levy against us Americans is that we’re a little too trigger happy. In our country, they say, there’s no problem that we believe a gun can’t solve — and if we haven’t figured out a way to solve a problem with a gun, that’s just because we haven’t tried hard enough to do so. Indigestion? By god, there’s gotta be a way a .45 can solve it!
Given this recent news story, those dang Europeans criticizing us might just be right. According to News 12, a DoorDasher was out making deliveries when he had phone problems and couldn’t find an address. So, he pulled into the house of Chester Highway Supervisor John Reilly — who promptly shot at him.
The Dasher survived but has serious injuries, and Reilly is currently facing assault and weapons charges. Here’s a video of the incident as it happened, captured by a Ring camera:
